Reconstructing Faith
About Lesson

Everything is a miracle to various degrees. The earth is the perfect distance from the sun for warmth, but not overheating, or freezing, for life to exist. Our bodies are an amazing array of organs, constantly dying and new cells, blood pumping through veins, unconscious processes keeping us alive. The universe is an incalculably big place that constantly expands seemingly with no end and no center.

In our modern society, even among the religious and Christian, we like to distinguish between the natural and miraculous. But that dualism is only in our mind. If people who lived just 100 years ago saw our lives today they would be amazed. People who lived a few hundred years ago would say that our technology/science is magic or miraculous. I’m sure if we travelled into the future we will say the same thing of future generations.

What is my point? Keep your mind open the impossible. Or rather, everything is possible. There are remnants today such as Stonehenge or the Pyramids that continue to stymie scientists and historians alike on how they came to be. We cannot replicate their construction even now with our technology.

Basically, this is a section about Faith. There is a power beyond our current one that inspires, informs, and directs us to greater and better things. There’s always room to learn, grow, and heal. Jesus said that to enter the kingdom of heaven we must be like the little children. Children who wonder, explore, have fun, and learn so much so fast.

Many people as they age lose their imagination, lose their wonder, lose their enjoyment of life. But no one is stuck there. We can continue to cultivate the fruit of a child while being as wise as the old. I hope this section inspires you!
